Satyam Saloon

Satyam Saloon is a small place in Santacruz East. We are at Shop No 01 in the Arun Building, right at the corner of Golibar 6th and 7th Road. It is a very busy corner with lots of people walking by all the time. We are tucked behind the Dena Bank, so if you find the bank, you’ve found us. It’s a traditional kind of saloon where men from the neighborhood come to get their hair cut or a shave. We have been here for a long time, and the shop looks like it. It isn't a modern, flashy place with bright lights and music. It’s just a simple room with chairs and mirrors. We know most of our customers by their first names because they have been coming here for years. The talk in the shop is usually about what’s happening in the neighborhood or the news. We keep things very basic and don't try to be something we aren't. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone is off work. You might have to sit on the bench for a while and wait your turn. It’s just a local corner shop where people feel comfortable. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here at the corner of Golibar Road, and they stop by when they need a trim.
