Satish Roadways

Being down at Dana Bunder is always a bit loud and busy. Satish Roadways is located at 302-D Dana Bunder 1St A Cross. We are right in the Steel Chamber building. If you look across the road, you’ll see the Radha Krishna Hotel. It’s a busy area with trucks moving in and out all the time. Our office isn’t much to look at. It’s mostly desks, stacks of paperwork, and old registers that we use every day. We deal with transport, so there’s always a driver coming in for a signature or someone calling about a delivery. The traffic outside never really stops. We’ve been here for a long time and know the rhythm of the docks and the market. It’s dusty and can get very hot in the afternoons. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that spin all day. We drink a lot of tea from the hotel across the street to keep going. Managing roadways is mostly about solving small problems. A truck breaks down or a road is closed, and we have to figure it out. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. The Steel Chamber is an old building, and you can hear the echoes in the hallways. We just focus on getting the goods from one place to another without too much fuss. It’s a straightforward business for people who need things moved across the country.
