We are located in Nanded, specifically in Anand Nagar at Hall Number 203/A. This is where Sarsam Farmer Producer Company Limited does its business. The office is basically a small hall that we’ve turned into a workspace. It’s not much to look at, just some white walls and a few tables shoved together. Nanded is a busy place, and being in the city helps us stay connected to the traders. Most of our members come in from the surrounding villages to discuss what we’re going to plant next. We deal with things like turmeric and soy, which are big around here. The hall can get pretty stuffy in the summer, so we usually keep the door wide open. There is no one here in a suit or tie. We just wear our regular clothes and spend hours going over the accounts. Sometimes the math doesn't add up the first time, so we have to do it all over again on a scrap of paper. We started this company because we were tired of being at the mercy of the big buyers. It’s not easy running a company when you spent most of your life in a field, but we are learning as we go. We don't have any big promises to make, we just show up every day and try to get the work done as best as we can.
