Sarojini Die Works

We are Sarojini Die Works. You can find us at Gala No 5 in the Heera Panna Industrial Estate. It is right near Virwani, just off Aarey Road in Goregaon East. It gets pretty loud around here during the day with all the machines running. We’ve been in this spot for a long time now. Most mornings start with unlocking the heavy shutters and getting the shop lights on. The tea stall nearby is where most of us head before the real work starts. Goregaon East has changed a lot lately with new buildings, but this industrial pocket stays mostly the same. There is a lot of dust and grease, but that is just how it is when you are making dies. If you are looking for us, just follow the road from Aarey. Sometimes the traffic is bad, especially near the main signals. Inside the gala, it is a bit cramped with all the equipment and metal pieces lying around. We spend most of our hours here, measuring things and making sure the cuts are right. It is not fancy work. Our hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning. People know us in the estate because we have been around Gala 5 for so many years. We just focus on the daily job and try to get things out on time. The fans do not do much in the summer heat, but we are used to the temperature by now.
