If you look for Saroj Transport Co, you’ll find us in Vikhroli East. We are in the New Puneeet Nagar area, right across from Shree Siddhi Vinayak English High School. You can hear the kids playing during recess while we are sorting out the transport logs. It’s a busy spot with trucks coming in and out at all hours. The ground is often dusty because of all the heavy vehicles moving around. Our office is just a small room with a fan that makes a bit of noise. We sit there tracking where the drivers are and when the next load is arriving. It’s a lot of phone calls and scribbling notes on pads. Sometimes the rain makes the road messy and everything slows down. We’ve been here long enough that the school staff and the local shopkeepers all know us by name. It’s not a clean or quiet job, but it’s what we do. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just call the number or show up at the gate. The school across the street is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. We usually close up once the last truck is accounted for. The evenings get a bit quieter once the school is empty and the traffic dies down a little on the main road.
