Sarathi Restaurant & Bar

Sarathi Restaurant & Bar is located at Grant Road in Mumbai, inside the Wagle Cooper Mansion. We are at number 317 on Maulana Shaukhad Ali Road, which is right near the old Shalimar Cinema. If you know Mumbai, you know this area is always packed and there is a lot of history in these old buildings. Our place is part of that. It’s an old-school establishment where the lighting is a bit dim and the walls have seen a lot of years. We have the bar section where people come to unwind after a shift and a restaurant area for those who just want to eat. It gets very busy in the evenings when the movie lets out or when people are finishing work. The street outside is a constant stream of taxis, buses, and people walking, so it’s never really quiet here. Inside, it smells like cooked food and old wood. We don't have fancy modern interiors; everything is pretty much the way it has been for a long time. The waiters have been with us for years and they know the menu by heart. It’s a bit of a squeeze when it’s full, and the noise of conversation can get quite loud, but that’s the vibe of Grant Road. It’s just a place for regular people to sit down, have a drink, and forget about the crowded streets for a bit.
