Saraswati Traders

Saraswati Traders has been running out of No. 13 Dr Khan Chawl for some time. We are tucked away in Farid Nagar, over in Bhandup West. It is a busy neighborhood with a lot of people moving around all day. Being in a chawl means we are close to everyone else. We deal with various goods and supplies that people in the area need. It’s not a huge warehouse or anything like that. Just a practical space where we keep our stock. My desk is usually covered in papers and bills. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in. Dealing with deliveries can be a bit of a headache with the narrow streets around here. But we manage it somehow. The sun gets pretty hot in the afternoons and things slow down a bit then. We aren’t trying to be some big corporation. It is just a local business trying to get things done right. People know where to find us if they need something specific. We have been in Bhandup long enough to know the faces around the neighborhood. It gets loud sometimes with all the traffic and the noise from the street. We just close the door halfway and keep working. There is always something to count or move around. That is just how the days go here.
