Healthcare Equipment & Supplies is located in Santacruz West. We are in 401 Shobhana Apt. on East Avenue. It’s a residential-looking building but we have our office on the fourth floor. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the equipment we keep. We have wheelchairs, monitors, and all sorts of medical supplies. Sometimes it’s hard to walk between the aisles in the storage room. Santacruz is a crowded place, so getting deliveries in and out is always a bit of a struggle with the traffic. We’ve been here for a while. The neighbors are used to us moving boxes in the hallway. I spend most of my time answering the phone and writing down what people need. Usually, it's families looking for things for their elderly parents. We try to keep everything in stock. The office has an old window that rattles when the wind blows. It's not a fancy showroom. It's more of a place where we get work done. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth is how most people find us. We just sell the equipment people need to stay healthy at home. It’s a small operation. Just a few of us making sure the orders go out correctly. It keeps us busy from morning until evening. Sometimes the doorbell breaks and people have to knock really loud to get our attention. I think it is the humidity.
