Seignor Scale Industries

Seignor Scale Industries is tucked away in Dhan Bhavan No. 1 on Gazder Street. We are right in the middle of Chira Bazar, which is one of those old Mumbai neighborhoods where the streets are narrow and everything feels like it is on top of each other. We work with scales and weighing machines. It is a bit of an old-school trade. The shop is small and full of different types of weights, from the small ones used for jewelry to the bigger industrial ones. It is often quite dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we have been here long enough that we know where everything is. Gazder Street is always loud with the sounds of carts, horns, and people shouting. It is a very busy part of town. We spend our time fixing old scales or selling new ones to local shopkeepers. The building itself has seen better days, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it has a lot of character. We do not have a fancy showroom. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to this market for decades. We just sit among the metal parts and the tools, doing the work as it comes in. It is a gritty, honest way to make a living in the heart of the city. We do not bother with much marketing because the foot traffic in Chira Bazar is usually enough to keep us going.
