Our place, Manju Surgikraft Pvt Ltd., is at A-2, Arpit Enclave in Mahavir Nagar. If you know Kandivali East, you know it is a crowded, lively part of Mumbai. We are tucked into this building amongst a lot of other businesses and residences. Space is always tight here, so we have to be very organized with our supplies and paperwork. We deal with surgical items, so we try to keep the place as tidy as we can, though it gets difficult when a new shipment arrives. The staff is local, mostly coming in on the trains or scooters. We do not have a big marketing team or a lot of polish. We just have people who know the products and can help find what is needed. It gets pretty noisy outside with the street vendors and the traffic, but we are used to it. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking inventory lists. It is a very practical business. We do not put on airs or try to act like a giant corporation. We are just a small company in Kandivali trying to get these supplies to where they need to go. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, or it rains so hard the street floods, but we stay open and keep the work moving. It is just a normal day for us. We handle the orders and try to stay organized.
