United Brothers Garment

United Brothers Garment is tucked away in Gala No. B-1/4 inside the Chhabra Compound. We are right off Shivaji Road in Vakola, which is a part of Santacruz East that never really stays quiet. If you come by, you’ll see we share the compound with a lot of other small businesses. Our unit is basically one large room where everything happens at once. We’ve got the cutting area in one corner and the packing boxes stacked up near the door. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially when we have a lot of finished garments ready to go out. The "United Brothers" name comes from the fact that this is a family-run thing. We started small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage the details ourselves. We don't spend money on big advertisements or fancy brochures. We just talk to people who need clothes made and we get it done. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more worried about the machines running smoothly. On rainy days, the lane outside gets a bit muddy, but the work doesn't stop. We spend our afternoons checking labels and folding shirts. It is a lot of repetitive work, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a hundred boxes lined up at the end of the week.
