Globhal Plants Nursery

It's always a bit dusty here at the nursery on Nehru Road. We've been in Santacruz East for a good while now. Dealing with plants is a lot of work, mostly watering and making sure nothing dies in the heat. We have all sorts of stuff sitting around in pots. Some people come in looking for something specific for their balcony, and we just point them to what looks healthy that week. It's not like those big garden centers you see in magazines. We're just a local spot. The traffic on Nehru Road can be pretty loud, but it’s quiet once you get inside among the greens. My hands are usually covered in soil by noon. We try to keep the stock fresh, but sometimes a shipment comes in looking a bit sad and we have to nurse it back. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know which plants need more shade. If you walk past, you'll see us out front. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Mumbai, just a decent one where you can get a bush or a tree without much fuss. We use plain old plastic pots mostly. It’s simple work, really. Just keeping things growing and helping neighbors find a bit of green for their homes. Sometimes the neighborhood kids stop by to look at the flowers, and we don't mind as long as they don't break anything. It’s just how it is here.
