Sanskrit Co.

Sanskrit Co. is located at Shop Number 4 in Manu Gomes Chawl. We are on 1st Road in Old Khar. It’s a small shop, but it’s ours. The neighborhood is one of those places where everyone kind of knows each other. Being in a chawl means the space is tight, but we’ve made it work for the business over the years. We’re right there at number 76. Old Khar has changed a lot, but this little corner stays pretty much the same. We handle a bit of everything here. It’s not a corporate office by any means. It’s just a room with our stuff and a counter. We open up in the morning and see who comes by. Sometimes it’s regulars from the area, other times it’s someone who found the address online. We don’t put on any airs. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the work we do inside is what matters to us. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but not too bad if the weather is okay. We’ve stayed here because the rent is fair and we like the local feel of 1st Road. It’s just a regular local shop doing what we do. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure things are taken care of daily. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock, but that’s just life in a chawl shop. We take things as they come and try to be helpful.
