Sangare Engineering Works

Sangare Engineering Works is situated at 15/C Veer Savarkar Marg in Prabhadevi. We are tucked right behind the Prabhadevi Industrial Estate. It’s an interesting area because you have big modern buildings nearby, but our street still feels like the old-school industrial Mumbai. Our workshop has been around for quite some time. It’s a place where we do a lot of traditional engineering and repair work. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of tools and materials stacked up everywhere. I don’t like throwing things away if they might be useful later, so the corners are always full. We don’t really do the whole corporate branding thing. We just have our name on the door and we do the work. Most of the time, I’m in the back making sure the lathes and drills are being used right. We get a lot of local walk-ins who need something fixed quickly. We try to be helpful without making a big fuss about it. The weather in Prabhadevi can be really humid, so we keep the big doors open to let the breeze in from the street. It’s a noisy place, and the floor is never really clean, but that’s a workshop for you. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the parts out the door on time. It’s a honest way to earn a living, even if we are exhausted by the time evening rolls around.
