Sandhya Salon And Studio is over in Govandi East. We are at Shop No 22 in the Neelkanth Gardens complex on Deonar Village Road. It’s a pretty good location because we are quite near the railway station, so there’s a lot of foot traffic from people commuting. Right opposite us is Raikar Chambers, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find the shop. The salon isn't huge, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into Shop 22. It’s a local place through and through. Sandhya started this and she’s usually around. We do the basic hair and studio work. The Deonar Village Road can get a bit congested during the morning rush, but it calms down later in the day. We get a lot of people who live in Neelkanth Gardens or the surrounding buildings. It feels like a real community here. We don't have any corporate polish or fancy receptionists. You just walk in and we see what you need. The walls are a bit plain, and we keep things simple with the decor. It’s more about the work than how the place looks anyway. Being near the station means we see people from all walks of life. We just open up, do our jobs, and close up when the sun goes down. It’s a decent life here in Govandi, and we like being part of the neighborhood. The humidity here can be a bit much, but we have a small fan.
