Salon & Spa 9

If you are looking for Salon & Spa 9, you have to head up to the fourth floor. We are in the Saphire Building on Linking Road in Santacruz West. It is unit 401. Most people know the Bebe showroom downstairs, so we just tell them to look for that and then come upstairs. Linking Road is always packed with people shopping or just stuck in traffic, so being on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a break from all that honking. Directly across from us is the ICICI Bank, which is a good landmark if you’re coming by rickshaw. We do hair, some spa things, and generally just try to keep the place running. The elevators in the building can be a little slow sometimes, especially during the lunch hour when everyone is moving around. It’s a simple space. We didn't spend a fortune on interior designers; we just put in what was needed to get the job done. The view from the window is mostly just rooftops and the tops of cars on the road below. We’ve been here in Santacruz for a bit now, and the neighbors in the building are mostly quiet offices. It’s not a huge place, but there’s enough room for a few chairs and the spa equipment. We usually start the day early and keep going until the evening rush starts to quiet down on Linking Road. There is some dust from the construction nearby, but that is just Mumbai.
