If you’re on Filmcity Road in Goregaon East, you’ll find us at Shop No 16 in Mantri Park. There is an SBI ATM nearby which is how most people find the right turn. It’s a busy area because of all the studios and offices around here. I opened this place a while back and started the classes because so many young women in the area wanted to learn a trade. The shop is always a bit busy. You’ll see people coming in for a quick haircut or students huddled around a table learning about skin types. Goregaon East has a lot of movement, and being near Mantri Park means we get a lot of residents from the complex too. I usually have a cup of tea in my hand between customers. The floor is almost never completely clean because as soon as I sweep, someone else’s hair hits the ground. That’s just the way it goes. We don't have fancy leather chairs or expensive lighting, just good old-fashioned mirrors and bright tubelights so we can see what we are doing. It’s a honest living. I try to teach my students that being punctual and patient is just as important as knowing how to use the scissors. We just keep things moving one day at a time here. It’s noisy and hectic on Filmcity Road, but we just focus on the work inside.
