Gayatri Design Studio

You’ll find Gayatri Design Studio tucked away on John Seth Street. We’re right behind the Peninsula Hotel and across from the Citi Mall on New Link Road. It’s a busy part of Andheri West, but our little street is a bit more tucked back from the main noise. We spend our days sketching out ideas and looking at different patterns. The studio is often a mess of fabric swatches and sketchbooks. We don’t have a lot of space, so every corner is used for something. Sometimes we have people come in, and we have to clear off a chair for them to sit. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s a place where we actually work and get our hands dirty. The traffic on New Link Road can be a nightmare, so we’re usually here early to beat the rush. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we like being near the mall because it’s easy to grab something when we need it. Our team is small, just a couple of us who enjoy the creative side of things. We don’t really use fancy terms to describe what we do. We just make designs and try to get them right. Some days the ideas come easy, and some days we just stare at the wall, but that’s how it goes. It’s a simple life in a crowded city, and we just keep at it every day.
