Sakar Interior Designs & Furniture is at G-8 in the Pratik Industrial Estate. We are right Nex To Wockhardt Hospital on the Mulund Link Road. It’s a busy road and there’s always something going on outside. Our unit is on the ground floor, which makes it easier for moving the bigger pieces of furniture in and out. The workshop gets quite dusty, but that’s just the nature of what we do. We have some desks in the corner where we do all the sketching and planning. It’s not a polished studio. There are wood samples and fabric swatches scattered everywhere. We usually have a radio playing in the background to keep things lively while we work. My hands are usually covered in something, whether it’s glue or paint. We’ve been in Mulund for a long time and have seen the area change a lot. The hospital next door is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We don't do much in the way of brochures or advertisements. Most people just walk in because they saw our sign or someone told them about us. It’s a small operation and we like it that way. We can focus on one thing at a time without too much distraction. Sometimes we stay late when a project needs finishing, but usually, we’re out by seven. It’s a good place to work and we’re happy to be here. We keep it simple.
