Saifee Hospital

We've been here on Maha Rishi Karve Road for a long time now. You can see the big building from quite a distance if you’re coming from the Charni Road side. It’s usually pretty hectic inside because there are always people coming in and out of the main gates. Some days the lobby is just packed with families waiting around. We spend a lot of time just keeping things moving. The nurses are always busy with paperwork or checking on patients in the wards. It’s not a quiet place, especially with the traffic outside near Post Box No. 3771. You hear the horns honking all day long. We try to keep things organized, but when you have so many floors and departments, it’s a lot to manage. Most of the staff has been working here for years, so we all know each other’s habits. The lifts are almost always full, so some of us just take the stairs to save time. It’s just how it is in a big city hospital like this. We see all kinds of people from all over Mumbai. Some come for simple stuff and others are here for a while. Usually, the cafeteria is the busiest spot around lunchtime. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood for everyone living around Charni East. We don't really have time for fancy talk, we just do what needs to get done every shift.
