Saieach Engg. Works P. Ltd is based at 122 in the Nirman Industrial Estate on Link Road in Malad West. Being in Malad means there is always a lot of activity around us. The industrial estate is a maze of different businesses and we have been in this particular unit for a long time. It is an engineering shop, so there is plenty of heavy metal, welding sparks, and the smell of grease. The floor is concrete and definitely shows the wear and tear of all the years we have been working here. We have some heavy machinery that takes up most of the space. It can get quite loud and hot, especially during the summer months when the air doesn't move much. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just come onto the shop floor. Our staff is mostly local guys who have been doing this kind of work for most of their lives. We handle various engineering tasks and try to solve the problems that walk through the door. Sometimes we are busy with a big project and other times it is just small repair jobs for people in the neighborhood. We don't use a lot of corporate jargon or have big meetings. We just talk about the work over a cup of tea and then get back to it. It is a simple way of doing things that works for us.
