You can find us at Shop No 4 in Hira Chawl, right by Yusuf Me Masjid. It’s a small place, the kind of store where we know a lot of the people who walk in by their first names. Being in a chawl means everything is close together and there is always someone talking or moving nearby. We keep the shelves stocked with whatever is needed. It’s a lot of reaching for things on high shelves and keeping everything in its place. The masjid is a big part of the local life here, and we see people coming and going for prayers all through the day. We open up early and don't really close until late. The shop is cozy, some might say cramped, but we know where every single item is hidden away. We don’t use any high-tech systems to track things; we just know the stock. Most of our day is spent behind the counter, weighing things out or bagging them up for the neighbors. It’s a simple life. We deal with the heat, the dust, and the crowds without thinking too much about it. It’s been our spot for a long time. There are no big signs or bright lights, just the shop door and the familiar smells of the street. We just keep serving the folks who live and work around the masjid.
