Our shop is number 46 in Janta Market, right over in Chembur. We are on Makwana Lane, which is just off the Andheri Kurla Lane. It’s a very busy area, especially being so close to the Chembur Railway Station. You can hear the trains and the crowds all day long. We do various types of services here, though the space is quite small. It’s packed with tools and spare parts. People stop by on their way to or from the station to drop things off. Sometimes they just need a quick fix or have a question about something that isn’t working right. The market is always loud with sellers calling out and people bargaining. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep a small fan going behind the counter. We’ve been in this spot for a few years now. Most of the other shopkeepers around here are friends. We help each other out when someone needs a hand or a specific tool. It’s a simple setup, just a counter and some shelves. We don't have a lot of room for waiting, so people usually leave their stuff and come back later. The floor is made of old tiles and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. But it works for what we do. We just keep our heads down and handle the work as it comes in from the street.
