Sai Om Transport Company

Sai Om Transport Company operates out of Narayan Bhawan on the first floor. We are pretty close to C S T Station, so the sound of trains and the crowd is something we hear every single minute. Being in the Fort area means everything has to move fast, but the traffic usually has other plans. Our office is just a plain room with a few desks and a lot of logbooks stacked up. We spend most of our time on the phone, talking to drivers who are stuck somewhere or looking for a load to carry. It’s a lot of coordination and hoping the trucks don't break down on the highway. We don't have a fancy lobby for guests. Most people who come here are just delivery guys or workers needing a signature on a form. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, and the climb up to the first floor is a bit steep if you're carrying heavy bags. We deal with all sorts of goods, from small boxes to things that take up a whole tempo. It is a messy business with a lot of grease and paper receipts that always seem to go missing. We just try to keep the schedules moving as best as we can without too much trouble. It is a lot of stress when a delivery is late, but we just pick up the phone and try to fix it. That’s just how the transport world goes around here.
