Sahni Auto Parts Company has been sitting here on R C Dutt Road in Girgaon for a long time. Our shop is at number 355. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find stacks of parts and boxes everywhere you look. We deal with all sorts of components for vehicles, so the air usually smells a bit like metal and rubber. It’s not a clean or shiny showroom. We have grease on our hands most of the day because we’re often checking parts or helping someone figure out what they need for their car. People from all over Girgaon come by when they have a problem with their vehicle. We know a lot of the local mechanics who stop in daily to pick up supplies. The street outside is always moving, and finding a place to park can be a real headache, but people still manage to find us. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff. We just answer the phone and talk to whoever comes into the shop. Sometimes we have to dig through the back shelves to find an older part that isn't made much anymore. It's a lot of manual work, keeping track of inventory and making sure we have what people ask for. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a simple life running an auto parts shop in this part of town. We are used to the noise and the busy pace of Girgaon.
