Sahara Fashion

Our place, Sahara Fashion, is in the Chaudhary Compound in Dahisar. We’re located on Shiv Vallab road, quite close to the last bus stop for the 298 route. It’s a functional space where we do a lot of sewing and garment work. It isn't a high-end fashion boutique with big glass windows or fancy lights. It’s more of a workshop. You can hear the constant hum of the sewing machines all day long while we work. We have big tables for cutting fabric and piles of finished clothes waiting to be packed into bags. The walls are a bit bare and the lighting is just basic tube lights. We spend our hours measuring, cutting, and stitching different orders. It’s a busy environment and things can get a bit disorganized when we have a large order to finish by the weekend. We work with different types of cloth and thread every day. Sometimes we have to wait for the button supplier to show up because they are late. The area is quite industrial and you see the bus drivers taking their breaks outside. We’ve been at this spot for a good while. We don't have any polished slogans or fancy branding like the malls. It’s just us doing the work we know how to do. We stay late when we need to and make sure the stitching is solid and holds up well. It’s a simple, local business.
