SAGAR RUBBER POLYMER is tucked away in the Cama Estate, right on Walbhat Road in Ashok Nagar. Goregaon East is a really busy part of the city, and our little corner in the estate is no different. There’s always the sound of some machine or a truck reversing somewhere nearby. We have a shop floor that’s dedicated to working with polymers and rubber. It's a bit of a messy job, so the floor and the benches usually have some residue on them. We don't mind it; it shows we've been working hard. The space isn't very large, so we have to be smart about where we stack the raw materials. If we don't stay on top of the cleaning, things get cluttered fast. We have a small office section partitioned off with some glass, but it’s mostly just for the computer and some files. The air can get a bit thick with the smell of rubber, especially when the fans aren't on. We've been in Ashok Nagar for quite some time now. Most of our neighbors are also in manufacturing, so we all understand the daily grind. We grab tea from the same guy every afternoon. It’s a very practical environment. There are no fancy decorations or awards on the walls. We just come in, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a decent place to spend the day for all of us and it keeps us busy.
