Saffron (Home & Garden)

You can find Saffron (Home & Garden) right on Ropewalk Street, just across from Trishna Restaurant in the Kala Ghoda area. It’s an old part of town with a lot of character, and we’ve tried to fit right into that. We spend our days surrounded by things for the house and the garden. It’s not a huge place, but we pack a lot into number 10. We get people walking in after lunch or while they're exploring the art district. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us keeping things tidy and helping folks find a pot for their plant or something nice for their living room. The street outside is always busy with walkers and cars, but inside it’s a bit quieter. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers all know us by name. We like being part of the Kala Ghoda scene. It isn't always perfect; sometimes the shipments arrive late or a display looks a bit cluttered, but that’s just life in a small business. We don't use fancy sales pitches. If you like something, you buy it. We keep things honest and simple. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks through the door. It’s a nice way to make a living, surrounded by greenery and home goods in this corner of Mumbai. We are just a local shop doing our thing among the galleries and cafes.
