Sabeena Designer Garments

Sabeena Designer Garments is a bit different because we are located way up on the sixteenth floor. We are in Flat No. 1601 of the Al - Aziz Palace Co - Operative Housing Society. It is located at 8 - 10 Bhawani Galli, right off Jail Road in the Dongri Cross Lane area. Being that high up means we get a decent view of the city, but it also means waiting for the slow elevator quite a bit. It is a residential building, so we try to keep things quiet for the neighbors who live nearby. Inside the flat, we have converted the rooms into a workspace for designing and sewing. It is a bit cramped with all the mannequins and rolls of colorful cloth, but we make it work for us. We have the sewing machines set up right near the windows to get the best natural light. It is not a big factory, just a small team of us working on specific pieces one at a time. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we have a lot of deadlines all at once. The kitchen area is where we keep the iron and the tea kettle. It feels like working from home because it basically is a home. People come by for their fittings and we have to clear off the chairs so they have a place to sit down. It is a very personal way to run a business. We just do our best every day.
