S R Motors

Being out here on the Chembur Pune Nasik Highway means we see a lot of traffic. S R Motors is located right at Phata Chakan, specifically at C/1827. It's a dusty area because of all the construction and the trucks passing by all day and night. We spend a lot of our time dealing with engines and people who are just passing through or live nearby in the Chakan area. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we keep our tools and parts. Most days, it’s just a cycle of opening up, checking the inventory, and seeing what kind of work is waiting for us. The highway noise is basically a constant background sound for everything we do. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when three cars pull in at once and we’re short-staffed, but we just manage as best as we can. We have some old chairs in the corner for people to sit while they wait. The floor is usually covered in oil stains that won't come out, no matter how much we scrub. It’s a bit messy, but that’s what happens when you’re working on motors all day long. We don't have a big front office or anything. It's just us, the tools, and the cars. We usually shut the doors pretty late because there’s always something left to finish up. That’s just the way life goes here on the edge of the highway.
