Down here on Raheja Runalyamarg in the Nahin West area, S L Raheja Hospital is a familiar sight for anyone who lives nearby. I’ve been working here for quite some time, and it’s a place that definitely has its own character. The streets around Nahin West are always full of life, and that energy filters into the hospital too. It’s not one of those silent, sterile places you see on TV; it’s a working building where things are always happening. The lobby is often full of people waiting, and you can hear the staff calling out names or talking about the day's schedule. We don’t have any polished corporate mission statements hanging on the walls. We’re just a team of people who show up and do the work that needs to be done. The building itself shows its age in a few spots, but it’s sturdy and functional. We spend our time checking on patients, updating records, and making sure everything is in its right place. It’s a very practical environment. Most of us who work here are from this part of Mumbai, so we’re used to the pace of life on the Marg. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. It’s just a solid, local hospital where things get handled without any fuss. It’s been a part of this neighborhood for years, and it’s just where we go to work every day and interact with our neighbors.
