S. E. Exports

S. E. Exports is located in the Lalbaug Industrial Estate, specifically at 11/A. It’s right off Dr. B. Ambedkar Road. Being in an industrial area means there’s always a lot of trucks moving around. Lalbaug is a crowded part of town, so getting here in the afternoon takes some patience. Our unit isn't the biggest one in the estate, but we make use of every inch of space we have. We’ve been here long enough that the guards at the gate know us by name. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that right now. Inside, there's always the sound of machines or packing tapes. It gets pretty warm in the summer months. We keep a couple of fans going all day. Working in export means we’re always checking clocks and schedules. It’s a lot of coordination. Most of our day is spent making sure things are packed right and ready to go. We don't really do much advertising. People find us because we’ve been at this address for years. The estate is old, and it has that specific smell of metal and cardboard. It’s home for us, though. We grab lunch from the local canteen most days. It’s nothing fancy, just a regular workplace where everyone knows what they have to do to keep things moving. We usually leave the heavy lifting for the mornings when it is cooler.
