We are located in Building Number 12, specifically in Office Number 4. The building is on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road. Being near the Custom House is helpful because that is where most of the action is for us. We handle a lot of shipping paperwork and logistics stuff. It’s a small office and it’s usually piled high with files and documents. There’s a lot of back and forth with the docks and the agents. We spend a lot of time checking numbers and making sure everything matches up. The road outside is always packed with trucks and people moving things. It can be quite a headache during the middle of the day. We have a small desk and a couple of computers that have seen better days. It's not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We aren't a big firm with many branches. It's just us in this one room. We’ve been operating here for a while and we know the rhythms of the port area. Most of the people who come to us are regulars who have been using our services for years. We don’t do much advertising. People just know where we are. We keep the fans running high because it gets hot with all the paper around. That is really all there is to S D Shipping Services. We just handle the documents and keep the cargo moving as best as we can.
