Finding us at Room No 62 in the C K Building can be a little tricky if you haven't been here before. We are right above the Radhakrishna Hotel near Sant Masjid. The smell of the food from downstairs usually drifts up around lunchtime, which is nice but also makes us hungry early. S D Shipping Agency is a small operation. We spend most of our day on the phone or tracking things on the computer. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, so we tell people to take their time. It’s not a shiny corporate office. We have wooden desks that have seen better days and a lot of logbooks stacked in the corner. Being in this part of town means it's always busy outside. We see the same faces every day coming and going from the hotel and the masjid. The space is a bit tight with all the filing cabinets we have to keep, but it works for us. We don't have a receptionist or anything. If someone walks in, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. It’s a straightforward way to run things. Sometimes the internet is slow and we all complain about it together while drinking tea. We just focus on getting the shipping details right and making sure the paperwork is filed before the day ends. We keep things moving as well as we can in this small office.
