Royal Ice Cream Restaurant

We are at Shop Number 583 in the Press Bazar area of Ulhasnagar. Shivaji Chowk is the big landmark nearby and it is always crowded. This part of Thane is very busy with shoppers and vendors. Our shop is quite small, so most people just stand outside or take their ice cream with them while they walk. We have a few benches but they fill up fast in the evenings. The heat in the market is pretty bad, so people come to us to cool off. We have the big freezers humming in the back all day and night. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to scramble to make sure nothing melts. That is the biggest stress of running an ice cream place in this town. My younger brother and I run the counter. We see kids coming in after school and older folks stopping by after they finish their grocery shopping. The Press Bazar is a loud place with people shouting and music playing from the electronics shops. We have been in this spot for a while now and we know the other shopkeepers well. We don't do any big advertising or anything. People just know we are here by the Shivaji Chowk. It is a simple life selling cold treats in a hot city, and we like the routine of it. I spend most of my time cleaning the counters or making sure the flavor signs are visible.
