Royal Garden

Our place is out on the Kalyan Murbad Road. If you are driving towards Khamba Village, you’ll see us right across from the HP petrol pump. It’s a bit out of the main city center of Kalyan which is nice because there’s more air. We have a bit of a garden area where people can sit. It’s not a manicured park but there are trees and it stays cooler than the concrete buildings. We get a lot of truck drivers and people on long trips stopping by. They usually want a heavy meal before they continue their journey. We’ve been here for years. The building is old and the wooden tables have some scratches on them. It’s a quiet life compared to Thane city. My kids sometimes help out with serving when they are not in school. We grow some of our own herbs in the back. It’s not a fancy restaurant with waiters in suits. It’s just a place to sit under the shade and eat some hot food. Sometimes the goats from the village wander near the gate. We just shoo them away and get back to work. If you’re looking for a flashy place, this isn’t it. But if you want a seat away from the noise, we are here. We just hope the rain doesn't leak through the roof this year.
