Royal Chemicals (India)

Our small office is located at 338 Narsinatha Street, which is right in the heart of the Masjid area. We are in Room Number 17 on the first floor of the Jaylakshmi Building. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets with all the handcarts and people moving goods all day long. The building is one of those older structures that has seen better days, but it’s got a lot of history behind it. Working out of here means we are right in the middle of the trade action. It can be quite loud with the shouting from the street below, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Royal Chemicals (India) operates mostly out of this single room where we keep our ledgers and take phone calls. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. The wooden stairs up to the first floor sometimes creak when you walk on them. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. People just walk in, sit on the stool, and we talk business. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, but it has worked for us for a long time. The smell of spices and the humidity from the street usually drifts in through the windows, reminding us of where we are every day. It's a bit dusty, but we keep the office running as best as we can.
