Rock Products

We are located in the Deonar Bagh area, inside the Hill View Cooperative Housing Society at number eight. It’s a busy spot because Kumud School is right across from us. You can hear the children playing during their break while we are in the yard sorting through different rock products. Dutt Guru Colony gets very crowded in the afternoons when the school lets out and parents come to pick up their kids. Our office is quite small and the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise that we stopped noticing years ago. Most of the day is spent checking invoices and making sure the truck drivers don't clip the gate on their way in. It is very dusty work since we handle rocks and stones all day. Sometimes the neighbors from the society mention the noise, but we try to keep things as quiet as we can. The view of the hill is actually quite nice if you catch it in the morning before the air gets too heavy. We don’t have a flashy sign, just our name painted on the door. Most people find us by looking for the school first. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze for the bigger trucks to get through the streets here. We usually take a break for tea around four o’clock. It’s just a place where we do our work and head home. The routine does not change much from week to week, but it keeps us going.
