We are up on the 7th floor of the Windsor building on C.S.T. Road in Kalina. It is right near Vidyanagari, so the area is always packed with students and people heading to work. Being in Santacruz East means we deal with a lot of traffic just getting to the front door every morning. The office is actually quite large since we handle a lot of the concrete mix logistics from here. You can see the city stretching out from the windows but we are usually too busy with the phones to look at the view. There is always someone coming in or going out with delivery schedules. Even though it is a corporate address, the atmosphere is pretty casual among the staff. We talk a lot about the trucks and the sites where the ready-mix is being poured. It gets pretty frantic when a big construction project is underway and the timing has to be perfect. The elevators in this building take forever during lunch time, so we often just stay at our desks. We have been here for a long time and the building security knows us all by name. It is a loud, busy part of Mumbai but it’s where the action is for the building trade. We keep a lot of maps and charts on the walls to keep track of everything going on across the city.
