Rm Gilani Civil Engineer & Co is based out of the Himachal Building on Juhu Road. We are right opposite Juhu Hill Road, so it is a pretty easy place to find if you are in the neighborhood. We have been doing civil engineering work for quite some time now. Our day usually starts with checking drawings or heading out to a site to see how the concrete is setting. It is not always glamorous work, especially when the monsoon hits and everything gets muddy. We handle a lot of the structural stuff that people don't really see but is important for a building to stay up. The office is usually filled with rolls of blueprints and old site photos. We deal with contractors, laborers, and sometimes the city council people when permits are needed. It can be a headache dealing with all the regulations, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We aren't the type to use big words or fancy presentations. We just look at the site, do the math, and tell you what needs to happen to get the job done. Sometimes we are juggling three different projects at once, and other times we are just waiting for a client to make up their mind. It is a steady life and we enjoy the challenges. We like being near the coast, even if the salt air is tough on the equipment. Just regular engineering for regular buildings.
