Revel The Mother Touch Kitchen

Revel The Mother Touch Kitchen is a bit of a mouthful to say, but that is the name we went with. We are over at number 3 in the Jolitha Complex on N B Patil Road. That’s in Chembur East, specifically in the Borla Ghatta Village area. It is right opposite Union Park, so it is actually a pretty nice spot to be in Mumbai. The neighborhood is a mix of old houses and new buildings. We started this kitchen because we wanted to cook the kind of food we grew up with. It is not a big corporate kitchen. It is small, and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of orders going out at once. We handle everything from the cooking to the cleaning ourselves. You can usually smell what we are making from down the street. The 400071 area is quite lively, and we like being part of the local community here. We don't have fancy menus with photos or anything. It’s just good, simple food. Sometimes we run out of things early if it's a busy day. We don't really mind, because it means people like what we are doing. If you are walking near Union Park, you will probably see us. We are just a local kitchen trying to do things the right way. No big secrets, just hard work and plenty of spices. We hope that the food reminds people of home.
