Our office is D/16 on the first floor of the Baptista Compound in Goregaon West. We are right in Jawahar Nagar, and the BMC Market is just across from us. The compound is an old industrial kind of place with a lot of different small workshops and offices all mixed together. You have to walk up a flight of narrow stairs to get to our door. Inside, it is mostly just desks covered in technical manuals and structural reports. We do a lot of work related to fixing up old buildings and making sure things are safe, so our walls are covered with photos of different sites we have visited. It is a bit of an old-school environment. We do not have fancy furniture or a modern reception area. Usually, the air smells a bit like the market outside, and you can hear the sounds of the street and the vendors all day long. We have been in this compound for years, and we know all the other business owners around here quite well. It is a busy part of Goregaon, and finding a place to park is always a struggle for anyone who comes to visit. We spend most of our time out on-site, but this office is where we do all the hard calculations and write up our findings. It is a bit cramped when all of us are in the office at once, but it serves its purpose.
