Renaissance Mumbai

Renaissance Mumbai is based in Ganesh Society, which is tucked away on S.V. Road in Powai. Even though the name sounds like one of those giant hotels, we’re actually just here in this local society building. Our space in R/7 is where all the daily work happens. Powai is a busy part of Maharashtra, and being on S.V. Road means we’re right in the thick of the traffic and the noise. We’ve been here for quite a while now. The office is just a regular room where we keep our stuff and handle the business. It’s not polished or anything. We have some old desks and a lot of papers piled up. We spend our time dealing with the tasks that come in, mostly just routine stuff that keeps the wheels turning. Living and working in Mumbai means you get used to the small spaces and the constant buzz of people outside. We like being in a society because it feels more like a neighborhood than a cold office park. We know the security guards and the people in the next unit. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road outside a bit of a mess, but we just carry on. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just come in, do our jobs, and try to make sure everything is sorted out by the time we leave in the evening. It’s a simple, straightforward life.
