Khanna Hotels

Our hotel business is right in the middle of Mumbai, specifically in the 400055 zip code area. It’s a busy part of Maharashtra. We’ve been running Khanna Hotels for quite some time now, and it’s a family-run kind of thing. The building isn’t brand new, and you can see some wear and tear on the walls if you look closely. We spend a lot of our mornings checking the laundry and making sure the staff showed up on time. Mumbai is always loud, so there is usually the sound of horns and people shouting from the street coming through the windows. We don't have those fancy automatic doors or a massive fountain in the front. It’s just a front desk, some keys, and a register. We deal with all sorts of travelers, some who stay for a night and others who hang around for a week. Sometimes the plumbing acts up, and we have to call the guy down the street to come fix it. It gets really humid here, so the fans are always spinning at full speed. We don’t use those big polished speeches. We just tell you which room is ready and where the best local food is nearby. It’s a lot of manual work, cleaning, and talking to guests who are tired from their flights. We just keep things moving every day. It is hard work but it keeps us busy and we like the people who visit.
