Our office is at 229 Udyog Bhavan, which is situated on Sonawala Road in Goregaon East. If you know this road, you know how busy it gets with all the small businesses and offices lined up one after another. Refiefhauser (India) Marketing Ltd. is where we work, and it is a pretty straightforward place. We don't have a lot of fancy decor or anything like that. It is mostly desks, computers, and a lot of files. The building has been around for a long time, so it has that lived-in feel. You see the same delivery guys and neighbors every day. Sometimes we stand out on the balcony or near the windows to watch the chaos on the street below. Goregaon is always moving, and Sonawala Road is like a main artery for that. We spend our hours talking to people on the phone or working through spreadsheets. It is not the kind of job you see in movies, but it is real and it keeps us busy. We usually bring our lunch from home or grab something quick from a nearby canteen. The elevators can be a bit slow during the morning rush, so a lot of us just take the stairs if we are feeling up to it. It is a simple professional life in a very crowded part of Mumbai. We just do our bit and head home when the day is done, just like everyone else.
