About Reeve – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Mumbai
We have our shop at Number 9 in the Guru Nanak Cooperative building in Bandra West. It’s a nice little spot, tucked away from the main madness of the road but still very much in the middle of things. We keep the shop open during the usual hours, and there’s always a bit of a breeze coming through the door. It’s a retail space, so we spend a lot of our time rearranging the items on the shelves and chatting with the people who wander in. Bandra has a lot of people out for walks, so you never know who’s going to stop by to take a look. We aren't a big chain store, so the vibe is pretty relaxed most of the time. We might be sitting and having a tea when someone comes in, and that’s just fine with us. We don't go for the hard sell or follow people around the store. If someone likes something, they buy it. We try to keep the shop looking decent without spending a fortune on fancy lights or big displays. Sometimes it gets a bit quiet in the afternoons, which gives us time to catch up on the books or clean the glass cases. Then the evening rush happens and it gets lively again. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us making sure everything is in order. We’ve been part of this building for a while now and know most of the neighbors. It’s a simple shop in a good neighborhood.
