Rang Puhar

Our little place, Rang Puhar, is located at 72 568 Motilal Nagar Part 3. It is right on MG Road, very close to the Ambe Mate Temple in Goregaon West. If you are in Mumbai, you know how busy that area gets, especially near the temple on festival days. We have been here for a while and the shop has seen a lot of people come and go. We deal with colors and art things, mostly because that is what we enjoy. The walls are not perfectly painted, and there are some stacks of boxes in the corner that we haven't moved in a month. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of the road construction nearby, but we don't mind much. We usually open up a bit late in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. People often stop in just to ask for directions to the temple, and we don't mind helping out. It is a small space, so you can't have more than a few people inside at once without bumping into each other. We use an old register that dings when you open it. My nephew helps out on the weekends when he isn't at school. It is just a local business trying to stay afloat in the middle of all the noise of the city. We like the neighborhood and the people around here very much and hope to stay for a long time.
