Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College

We are right here in Ghatkopar West, literally just across from the railway station. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this spot gets every single morning when the trains pull in. Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College has been part of this neighborhood for a long time now. People usually just call us RJ College. It is convenient being so close to the station because students come from all over the city on the Central Line. Sometimes the noise from the station reaches the classrooms, but you get used to it after a while. The address is Maharashtra 400086. We see the same faces at the tea stalls outside every day. It’s a crowded area with always something happening on the street. Walking from the platform to the college entrance takes maybe two minutes if the crowd isn’t too bad. We have been sitting here watching Ghatkopar change over the years. The shops around us change names, but the college stays the same. Most people find us easily because of the location. There isn’t much to say other than we are a local spot for learning. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially with all the traffic outside on the main road. We just keep things moving, day in and day out. It is a very practical place to be. You finish your classes and you are right back at the station to catch your train home. That is just how life goes here.
