Ramkrishna Local Transport

Ramkrishna Local Transport is based in the Anjirwadi area of the Thakkar Industrial Estate in Mazgaon. This part of town is very industrial, full of warehouses and workshops. We are near the Heera Building, which helps people locate us in the maze of the estate. Mazgaon has a long history with the docks and shipping, and you can still feel that in the air. Our day starts early when the first trucks arrive. There’s a lot of noise from engines and people shouting instructions. The estate is a bit worn down, with cracked pavement and old gates, but it’s where the real work of the city happens. We handle local transport, so we are always dealing with the logistics of getting goods through the Mumbai traffic. It’s a messy job sometimes, especially when it rains and the lanes get muddy. Our office is just a small corner where we keep the ledgers and the keys. We don’t have a lot of furniture or decorations. It’s a place for business, not for sitting around. We know the other transporters in the estate and we all deal with the same problems, like the traffic on the main roads. It’s a tough environment but it’s what we are used to. We just focus on moving the loads and getting home at the end of the day.
