Ramdas Bhuvan Restaurant

We've been here at the Union Building for quite a while now. Most people know us because we're right opposite the Grant Road railway station. It's a busy spot. People coming off the trains or heading to work stop by. We open early and stay open until late. The tables are usually full during lunch. It gets noisy sometimes with the traffic outside on Silator Road, but that's just Mumbai for you. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. Just basic chairs and fans. The kitchen is small but we manage. Some of our staff have been working here since they were young men. We serve regular food that people eat every day. Nothing too complicated. You'll see the same faces every morning grabbing tea. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the evening if it's been a busy day. We just try to keep things clean and keep the food moving. It's a family-run place, basically. My father used to sit at the counter before me. Now I handle the bills and talk to the regulars. If you are walking down from the station, you can't really miss the sign. We get a lot of students too because the prices aren't high. It's just a simple restaurant. No big story behind it, just a place to eat while you're traveling or working in this part of town. Sometimes the rain gets in a bit near the door, but we just mop it up and keep going.
